Our not quite 3 year old goes to daycare one day a week.
One of us has returned to caring and the other is also indirectly involved with healthcare. Shift work means we are not always available. We are listed for the one day, and if she doesn’t go for any reason we still have to pay for it. If fees rise much more it will be cheaper to not work and claim more family benefits. We we to have to put her and a younger one in daycare one of us would be working for about $3.50 an hour by the time we paid for daycare
