Parents’ childcare entitlements are likely to change multiple times a year under the Coalition’s new childcare package, amid warnings from parents and childcare groups it will place a huge burden on busy families and Centrelink.

A survey by childcare provider Goodstart has found that over the last year, almost half (45.3 per cent) of parents polled would have moved at least once between the three new “activity test” levels proposed by the Coalition – that set out how many work/study hours are needed to qualify for different childcare subsidies.
